for today {11.2.09}

I am inspired by The Simple Woman's Daybook {weekly project}.

I am longing for more simplicity.
More lingering in the quiet moments.
More focusing on "now."
FOR TODAY:
November 2, 2009

Outside my window... a luminous, full moon in an inky, cloudless sky

On my mind... my Grammy; so frail and overwhelmingly aging

I am thankful for... loving parents, coupons, and yummy hot tea

From the kitchen... baked potato soup, bbq chicken pizza, leftover gumbo stew

I am wearing... grey yoga pants and a white cotton top

I am creating... personalized, photo Christmas cards

I am going... to brunch at a new restaurant with my bestie this week :)

I am reading... Same Kind of Different as Me, by Ron Hall and Denver Moore

I am praying... for a sweet friend with a broken heart (and, selfishly, for a $100 gift certificate that I have misplaced! Grrrr...)

I am hearing... the soothing hum of the air conditioner, and the tunes of Sara Bareilles playing softly

Around the house... a closet that is half reorganized, half chaos (why does it get worse before it gets better?!)

One of my favorite things... Crest Advanced Seal White Strips

A few plans for the rest of the week: cook, laundry, launch Christmas card business, fellowship with family and friends

From my picture journal... Godiva, the spoon thief

Frame by House of 3.

You will LOVE that book. I couldn't put it down and cried for a lot of it.
